Meera qualified in 1990 before gaining a good grounding
in all aspects of Physiotherapy working in private and NHS hospital
settings.
She specialised in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 1994, before going
on to achieve the highest Physiotherapy clinical post in the NHS,
as clinical specialist to Mr Mok (Shoulder Orthopaedic Consultant) and Mr
Burgoyne (Spinal Orthopaedic Consultant).
She has just accepted clinical specialist posts with Mr Selvan (Shoulder
Orthopaedic Consultant) and Mr Bhat (Hand and Wrist Orthopaedic Consultant)
at East Surrey Hospital.
She has an in-depth knowledge of orthopaedic surgery and the interpretation
of test results e.g. MRI and CT scans
She is a qualified acupuncturist and is qualified in cortico-steroid
injection therapy.
She is involved in research and clinical audit as part of her job role
as clinical specialist.
She undertakes training of other physiotherapists and students.
Worked as first team physiotherapist for 5 seasons with local rugby club.
Personal interests include competitive running, rock climbing, triathlon,
mountain biking and reading.
